Welcome to the Shaw Festival. This year our festival is filled with great delights - wonderful performances, free events, and lots of fun - as well as workshops, master classes and informative demonstrations.
It is a special year for us, one in which we have focused on the Shaw Festival mission not only to bring nationally and internationally renowned artists into our midst, but to give back to the community through free events and community partnerships designed to showcase local artists.
The Shaw Festival is set to enrapture festival lovers once again. Our venue will leave you fascinated, captivated and enthralled. With performances ranging from classic to contemporary, traditional to avant-garde, each act will inspire you to greater heights.

Shaw Festival
The Shaw Festival Theatre Foundation was established as a non-profit organization, with an elected volunteer Board of Governors, and the company's mandate was to produce the dramatic works of Bernard Shaw and his contemporaries.
In its first decade, the Shaw Festival enjoyed explosive audience growth, and the company toured extensively in the United States and Canada. Then on June 20, 1973, in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, the Festival Theatre was officially opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The beautiful new building enabled the Shaw Festival to mount large-scale productions which drew national and international acclaim.
